Mechanical Design Contractor for Industrial Equipment

Welcome to the What We Do exhibit at Fox & Associates.

Fox & Associates turns a client’s idea, concept, sketch, layout, existing equipment, or project requirement into a practical mechanical design package that a fabricator can build from. The goal is not just to create a good-looking 3D model. The goal is to move the project from concept, to design, to fabrication-ready drawings, to organized bill of materials data, and finally to a released package that supports quoting, purchasing, fabrication, assembly, and project follow-through.

The process usually starts with the client’s idea, production problem, required machine function, plant layout, or existing equipment that needs to be improved, replaced, expanded, or supported. From there, Fox & Associates develops the design in SolidWorks, working through equipment layout, part fit, access, serviceability, cleanability, manufacturability, and the practical details needed to make the design useful in the real world.

Once the design direction is established, the model is developed into production-ready documentation. That can include assembly drawings, detail drawings, fabrication drawings, DXF and DWG support files, cut parts, formed parts, weldments, hardware, purchased components, and organized BOM packages.

Fox & Associates supports OEMs, equipment suppliers, dealers, importers, resellers, plant owners, manufacturers, and fabricators that need purpose-built mechanical design support for industrial equipment and food-processing machinery. Services can include conveyor design, access platforms, cleaning platforms, support structures, guards, brackets, frames, process piping layouts based on client-supplied P&IDs, custom machine design, screw conveyor design, trommel screen design, hammer mill design, and mulch grinder design.

This What We Do exhibit is the broad overview of the service path from concept to released design package. Other exhibits focus on more targeted areas, including hygienic equipment design, ultra-sanitary platforms, problem-solving, process piping, contact information, customer access, careers, and the sitemap.

This interactive website was created using SolidWorks, the same modeling software used to develop client equipment designs. If Fox & Associates can build a website experience from SolidWorks models, imagine what that same level of modeling, detailing, and problem-solving can do for your project.

After the main project deliverables have been sent, approved, and accepted, Fox & Associates can also provide add-on production-support tools through the =FOX= Advanced Toolkit. These tools can help turn released drawing and BOM data into practical systems for purchasing, tracking, delivery planning, job-shop checklists, budget tracking, and project follow-through.
