Industrial Equipment Problem Solving and Custom Machine Design
Welcome to the Problem-Solving exhibit at Fox & Associates.
This exhibit focuses on industrial equipment problem solving, custom machine design, equipment redesign, access problems, fabrication challenges, material-handling problems, and the practical mechanical design details that determine whether equipment works well on a real production floor.
Some projects start with a clean sheet of paper. Others start with a machine that almost works, a conveyor that does not fit the space, a hammer mill or bark grinder that needs better support equipment, a safety rail system that blocks access, or a production problem that has been patched too many times without fixing the real issue.
Fox & Associates approaches these problems through SolidWorks-based mechanical design. The goal is to understand the function, the failure point, the available space, the fabrication method, the operator access, the maintenance access, the cleaning requirements, and the production constraints before deciding what the final design should become.
Problem-solving work can include custom machine design, conveyor design, hammer mill design support, bark grinder design support, mulch grinder design support, material-handling layouts, safety rail systems, guards, frames, brackets, access platforms, support structures, equipment modifications, and redesign of parts or assemblies that are difficult to build, clean, inspect, service, or operate.
The value is not just in creating a new model. The value is in turning a messy field problem, sketch, concept, or production complaint into a buildable mechanical design package with clear fabrication-ready drawings, assembly drawings, detail drawings, DXF and DWG support files, purchased components, weldments, cut parts, formed parts, and organized BOM packages.
Fox & Associates is especially useful when a project needs practical judgment. The design has to fit the equipment, fit the plant, fit the budget, fit the fabrication method, and still make sense for the people who operate, clean, inspect, and maintain it.
This Problem-Solving exhibit is one focused service area within the broader Fox & Associates mechanical design contractor offering. Related exhibits cover the What We Do overview, hygienic equipment design, ultra-sanitary platforms, process piping support, contact information, customer access, careers, and the sitemap.

After the main project deliverables have been sent, approved, and accepted, Fox & Associates can also provide add-on production-support tools through the =FOX= Advanced Toolkit. These tools can help turn released drawing and BOM data into practical systems for purchasing, tracking, delivery planning, job-shop checklists, budget tracking, and project follow-through.
